My husband and I make a point of NOT visiting the Brewster Inn on Cazenovia Lake for Sunday brunch too often. Because it is just that good! If we went all the time, the indulgence would surely do us in.

Their website doesn’t lie when it states, “Our staff of culinary professionals make all of the dishes and sauces from scratch and take great pride in using the best ingredients.” My husband and I dined there on Sunday, September 9th, and we wished we’d brought extra stomachs. I’ll let the husband chime in here.

Mike: “It was freaking awesome! Back to you Sue.”

Cazenovia, Brewster InnI am always sure to get a large helping of crème brulee’ french toast with maple syrup, whipped cream and fresh strawberries. I also get a good helping of roasted meats carved to order, fresh pastries, some fresh fruit (because as we all know that balances out any meal!), and made to order Eggs Benedict. If I don’t get the Eggs Benny, I opt for the made to order omelet station.

I’m no seafood lover, so I’ll let the husband tell you about the freshly baked salmon and salmon cakes.

Many other hot and cold side dishes, from breakfast meats to salads, round out a stupendous assortment of delicious brunch options for you to sample. You may prefer to enjoy a Mimosa or Bloody Mary with your breakfast (like Mike). I opted for tasty hot coffee and surprisingly smooth orange juice.

It will be difficult, but be sure to save room for the fabulous desserts, with an assortment of cakes, pies, cobblers and mousses on display for you to take single servings at your pleasure.

One thing that always surprises us is how inexpensive this all-you-can-eat brunch is, currently at $23 per person, including coffee and dessert. Once the two of us have eaten enough for at least four or five people, and realize how much good food we’ve eaten for that price, I always tell my husband we have to come back again soon. Guess what he has to say?

Mike: “That’ll be freaking awesome!”
